Tambopata Candamo Reserved Zone is located in southeastern Peru on the
border of Bolivia. It's 3.7 million acres stretch over cloud forests in
the Andes to lowland rainforests in the Amazon basin. It is home to over
1,300 species of birds, 200 mammalian species, 90 frog species, 1,200
butterfly species and 10,000 species of plants.

to Tambopata is part of the adventure. An early morning flight from Lima
takes you over the Andes to Puerto Maldonado. It is an eight hour ride
up the Madre de Dios River in this boat to camp at the Tambopata Research
Center. The scenery is spectacular and wild life and wild life abundant.
